OUR UNIQUE INFLUENCE & POWER
The results of the Census help determine each state’s representation in Congress, as well as how certain funds are spent for schools, hospitals, fire departments, roads, child care subsidies and more.

As Providers, we must pay particular attention to the immigrant families we serve, whether citizens yet or not.  The Constitution explicitly requires an “actual enumeration of all persons,” including immigrants, homeless people and refugees, REGARDLESS OF CITIZENSHIP. Every person not counted COSTS NY $2000 per person, per year for 10 yrs! The 2010 Census only counted 69% of NY’s population. We need to do much better. Getting what our state and localities deserve is of utmost importance.
