Dear CSEA/VOICE Local 100 A and CCPT Local 100B members,

We will soon begin to negotiate our third family child care contract with the Office of Children and Family Services (OCFS) and New York State. Our CSEA Child Care negotiating team is made up of a diverse group of our members representing communities across the state.

The last two rounds of contract negotiations resulted in new resources and programs for family child care providers across the state: $500 Quality Program Grants; Professional Development Opportunities; First Aid / CPR; Affordable Care Act Health Insurance Rebates and Vision/Dental at no cost. Our CSEA Child Care contract led to the first licensing / registration dispute resolution process in NY and more flexible adult/child ratios for providers and families that expanded earning potential for providers.

We are gathering information from our members across the state about how the programs we have negotiated and developed for family child care providers benefit you and the children and families enrolled in your program. The information you share is confidential and will help us negotiate a third contract that reflects the priorities of our members across the state.

I urge you to help us by taking ten minutes to COMPLETE THIS SURVEY ONLINE. If you prefer, you can download a print copy in English or download a print copy in Spanish, complete it and mail it back to us at CSEA Child Care Programs, 143 Washington Ave. Albany, NY 12210 or you can call us at 877-483-2732 and we will send you a copy.

All surveys must be taken online or received by regular mail by September 8, 2017.

Sincerely,
Pam Wells, President
CSEA/VOICE Local 100A
