A Word

From Our President

Since our founding in 2002, we have grown our union power and strength exponentially, negotiating four successful OCFS contracts. We’ve built valuable relationships with OCFS and DSS making significant changes to the profession for all home based child care in New York.

We use our powerful voice in every level of government to make sure reimbursement rates are fair, subsidy programs work for families and our child care programs are protected with investment in the  child care workforce.

We have the power to solve statewide and local issues as they arise, have valuable member-only benefits like our affordable, specialized liability and homeowners insurance policies for Family Child Care Providers from Pearl Insurance, vision and dental coverage for the whole family, money-saving telemedicine health coverage just to mention a few!

We are so excited for what is to come. Growing our union and building more power ensures that we can move ahead with solving the issues we face, safeguarding our profession and a successful future.
