CSEA/VOICE invites you to join us for a very important informational Chapter Meeting and training for Clinton, Essex, Franklin and Hamilton. We will give a brief update on VOICE, DSS, OCFS, membership and other pertinent information.

The training that will be presented is “Child Abuse and Maltreatment with a Focus on Understanding Brain Injury and Prevention”. During this training, guests review basic child abuse and maltreatment information and guidelines, including basic mandated reporter content, making a report, and what happens after a report is made. They also focus on discussing what brain injuries are, how they occur in children, and the signs and symptoms of brain injury. Finally, they provide strategies to help support young children with brain injuries, and tips for reducing brain injury risk.

This course will provide 2.5 hours in OCFS topics:

#6 – Child Abuse and Maltreatment Identification and Prevention
#8 – Statutes and Regulations Pertaining to Child Abuse and Maltreatment
#9 – Education and Information on the Identification, Diagnosis and Prevention of Shaken Baby Syndrome

La capacitación que se presentará lleva por título “Abuso y maltrato infantil: un enfoque en la comprensión de las lesiones cerebrales y su prevención”. Por último, ofrecerán estrategias para brindar apoyo a los niños pequeños que han sufrido lesiones cerebrales, así como consejos para reducir el riesgo de que estas ocurran.

#6 – Identificación y prevención del abuso y maltrato infantil
#8 – Estatutos y reglamentos relativos al abuso y maltrato infantil
