CSEA/VOICE invites you to join us for a very important informational Chapter Meeting and training for St Lawrence, Jefferson and Lewis. We will give a brief update on VOICE, DSS, OCFS, membership and other pertinent information.
The training that will be presented is “Child Abuse and Maltreatment: Protective Factors”. During this training, panelists describe the different protective factors for child abuse and maltreatment. They explain ways educators can increase these protective factors for children. They also define child abuse, maltreatment, and educators’ role and responsibilities as mandated reporters.
This course will provide 2.5 hours in OCFS topics:
#6 – Child Abuse and Maltreatment Identification and Prevention
#8 – Statutes and Regulations Pertaining to Child Abuse and Maltreatment
#10 – Adverse Childhood Experiences
